Schoontje Ossendrijver, born 2 september 1897 in Amsterdam, was a daughter of Andries Ossendrijver and Hanna de Vries. Jacobus Broekhuijsen was the son of Aron Broekhuijsen and Leentje Dwinger. He married Schoontje Ossendrijver in 1920. She was the daughter of Andries Ossendrijver and Hanna de Vries. The couple adopted Salomon Denneboom, the son of Aaltje Denneboom. In May 1941 he changed his name to Broekhuijsen.
