Jacobus Broekhuijsen and his family

Jacobus Broekhuijsen was the son of Aron Broekhuijsen and Leentje Dwinger. He married Schoontje Ossendrijver in 1920. She was the daughter of Andries Ossendrijver and Hanna de Vries. The couple adopted Salomon Denneboom, the son of Aaltje Denneboom. In May 1941 he changed his name to Broekhuijsen.

The Broekhuijsens ran the Nederlandse Schortenfabriek (the Dutch Apron Factory), together with their business partners, the Knorringa-Ossendrijvers. The company was located at Huddekade 5.
