By creating an account and contributing to the Digital Jewish Monument, you accept the terms and conditions below as a User.
User Regulations
The User will not post any contributions that are offensive, racist, indecent, or (on any grounds whatsoever) considered unlawful.
The User expressly and irrevocably grants the Digital Jewish Monument the right to publish their contribution via the website.
The User expressly and irrevocably grants the Digital Jewish Monument the right to grant third parties permission to use the contribution in whole or in part, on or off the website, solely for non-commercial purposes and with attribution of the User's name. This excludes contributions for which the User indicates by means of a copyright notice that they may not be used.
If the User uses the work of a third party in a contribution, the User must obtain prior permission from that third party and always clearly state their name as the source. In that case, the User must inform the third party of the Digital Jewish Monument's right to publish the User's contribution and allow third parties to use it for non-commercial purposes.
The User indemnifies the Digital Jewish Monument against claims from third parties based on infringements of the rights of third parties by their contribution.
The User must at all times exercise the utmost care with regard to information about others and their identities, out of respect for the privacy of those others and their relatives.
Right of Editing
The editors of the Digital Jewish Monument review user contributions at their own discretion.
The measures listed below may be taken based on violation of a provision of these Regulations or for any other compelling reason, at the sole discretion of the editors of the Digital Jewish Monument.
The editors may edit or delete a contribution.
The editors may temporarily or permanently deny a User access to the site, including by blocking and/or canceling the user's registration and banning contributions from certain IP addresses.
Privacy Provisions
The Digital Jewish Monument emphasizes that the Author may submit their contribution under a pseudonym.
The User expressly accepts that when using their name as a username, it will be visible to any internet user and can be found by search engines.
The Digital Jewish Monument does not use the personal or contact information of users. This information is treated securely and confidentially and is not sold or otherwise made available to third parties.
Liability
The Digital Jewish Monument is not liable for the content of contributions posted on the site or for any damages resulting from the use of the site or from information obtained from the site.
Amendments to the Rules
The Digital Jewish Monument reserves the right to amend the content of these User Rules.
