Abraham Broches and Chaja Person ran a sigaretfactory. The couple had two children. A son, Elias Broches, also known as Epie, played jazz piano. During his high school he played at the club Monico at the Rembrandtplein. In 1942 he was arrested when trying to cross the Chanal to England. He was executed. The other child, who had immigrated to the United States, survived the war.

Aron (Ronnie) Broches vertrok in 1939 naar New York en zou de oorlog overleven. Na de oorlog is hij teruggekeerd naar Amsterdam en zette het familie-bedrijf voort.
