Elisabeth Polak-Blog

Elisabeth Blog was a daughter of Wolf Blog and Lena Zwart. She married Mozes Polak in Amsterdam on 29 July 1936, a son of Barend Polak and Elisabeth Prijs. The couple had a son in 1941, who has survived the Holocaust by hiding in the south of the province of Limburg. In 1941 a child was born to Elisabeth Blog and Mozes Polak. After a raid in 1943 the child was taken to safety in South Limburg, where it was raised under an assumed name. Fourteen years later, an uncle discovered his nephew and the child rejoined the Jewish community, in Amsterdam.
