De naam van Max Mühlrad komt voor bij het Mémorial de la Shoah op een lijst met namen van gevangenen in het Franse kamp Pithiviers, die op 3 augustus
1942 met transport no. 14 naar Auschwitz zijn gedeporteerd.

Dit betekent dat Max Mühlrad tesamen met zijn echtgenote Diny Mühlrad-Salmanowitz een tevergeefse poging heeft
ondernomen naar veiliger oorden te ontkomen daarbij is opgepakt
en gevangen …

Fanny Mühlrad-Rosenzweig was the mother of Max and Lottie Mühlrad. In May 1940 their house in Rotterdam was bombed and they went to Delft where they stayed.
