Samson 'Sam' Polak werd circa 1934 lid van de CPN. Hij komt voor op de erelijst van de CPN. Deze werd na de oorlog samengesteld voor een gedenkboek. Helaas is dat boek er nooit gekomen, maar de documenten op basis waarvan hij op de lijst is terechtgekomen bevinden zich in het archief van de CPN op het IISG (inventarisnummer 145).
