Simon Salomon Slagter and his family

Simon Salomon (‘Lon’) Slagter served as chazzan in the shul services of the Jewish society Tsofouno (‘North’ of Rotterdam). The society was founded in Hilligersberg in the 1930s and had several hundred members. Tsofouno’s activities included organizing shul services and festive celebrations on Jewish holidays.
