Eva van Dam-Nathans

Eva Nathans was a daughter of Simon Nathans and Betje de Jong. She married the draper and clothing retailer Izaak van Dam in Haren (Groningen) on 3 September 1919, a son of Simon van Dam and Betje de Jong. The couple had five children, of whom Martha Betje and Machiel Nico have died already before the war. Eva's other children, namely Martijn Bertus, Siemon Machiel and Bernard Max have been killed…

Izaäk van Dam was married to Eva Nathans. The couple had three sons, Martijn Bertus, Siemon Machiel and Bernard Max. They owned a textile goods shop at 42 Stationsweg in Zuidlaren. The two eldest sons, Martijn Bertus and Siemon Machiel, worked in the shop and peddled textiles to farmers. Betje Polak from Sleen worked in the shop as a saleswoman.
