Philip Witteboon

Philip Witteboon was a son of Meijer Witteboon and Eva Schellevis. He married 29 July 1936 in Amsterdam to Henriette Blits, daughter of Nathan Blits and Esther Halberstadt.
The couple had only one son: Nathan.

In 1941 moest Esther Halberstadt nog haar zus Branca begraven, die ook de inval van de nazi’s moest meemaken. Net zoals haar zus, was ook Esther weduwe toen de oorlog uitbrak. Ze trouwde eind 1897 op twintigjarige leeftijd met koopman Nathan Blits en nog geen drie maanden later werd hun zoontje Louis geboren.
