Victims of february-raids gassed in Hartheim Castle.

On 22 and 23 Febuary 1941, raids took place in Amsterdam,  in which 390 Jewish men were arrested and deported. Only two of them survived. A recent investigation has shown that more than 100 men were gassed in Hartheim Castle, while Mauthausen was established as the official place of death.

Nathan de Vries op de Erelijst van de CPN

Hoewel communist in hart en nieren was Nathan 'Nico' de Vries geen lid van de CPN. Wel was hij lid van de VCOO en had hij de status van 'vriend van De Waarheid'. Hij werd opgepakt op 23 februari 1941, tegelijkertijd met zijn vriend Max Nebig. Via Buchenwald kwam hij in het KZ Mauthausen. Hij komt voor op de erelijst van de CPN.
