Heiman Nathan Scheffer and his family

Heiman Nathan Scheffer was the second child of Salomon Scheffer and Rosetta Victoria Levitus. After completing the Jewish school on the Rapenburgerstraat, he went to work as an overcoat presser. On 4 August 1937 he married Jansje Zwaaf, daughter of Benjamin Zwaaf (a peddler) and Clara Erwteman. The couple lived at 16 President Brandstraat, third floor, in Amsterdam.
