About Manfred Schwab

Manfred Schwab came to the Netherlands in November 1938, together with his sister Hanna. First he resided at the Jewish orphanage in Utrecht and at its summer house in Den Dolder. Later he was adopted by the family of Mozes Mechiel Cohen in Assen.
Manfred Schwab died soon after the liberation in the Buchenwald concentration camp.

Hij woonde vanaf september 1939 bij de familie M.M. Cohen. Hij staat niet op de Asser deportatielijst. Dat is ook logisch, want hij was reeds op 18 januari 1940 naar het kamp Westerbork verhuisd.

Mozes Mechiel Cohen and his family

Mozes Mechiel Cohen married to Josephine Philips on the 18th August 1914 in Steenderen. Mozes was the son of Philippus Cohen and Bettje Mozes Valk. Josephine was the daughter Philip Philips and Aaltjen Jacobs.
