About Israel de Lange

Israel de Lange ("Issie") initially was the one member of his family who was able to remain in Amsterdam. He stayed with one of his aunts, who was married to a non-Jew. After his complete family was deported, he chose to live at his Jewish uncles' home in de Lange Houtstraat. He was picked up with Philip de Lange and his family.
