Jeanette Elekan was the second wife of Jesaia van West, who was previously married to Wilhelmine Sluiter, who was born in Düsseldorf (G) as a daughter of Heimann Sluiter and Sophia Ert. Wilhelmine was born on 6 July 1864 and passed away childless at the age of 31 years in Amsterdam on 25 October 1895 and was interred in the Jewish Cemetery Zeeburg.
