Therese van Zwanenburg was a daughter of Salomon van Zwanenburg and Estella Jacobs. Her parents passed way before the war; her mother, Estella Jacobs from Zwolle died in Rotterdam 23 August 1917 as the widow of Salomon Zwanenburg, aged 78 years and was interred in the Jewish Cemetery Toepad in Rotterdam. She had two brother Karl Emil and Albert Lodewijk van Zwanenburg. She was unmarried.
