Bertha Poppers-de Wolff

Zij was een dochter van Levij Liefman de Wolff en Barbara Kaufmann.

Op 2 februari 1893 was zij in Stad Doetinchem getrouwd met de uit Winterswijk afkomstige Meijer Poppers. Hij was een zoon van Simon Meijer Poppers en Beth de Haas. Meijer was reeds voor de oorlog gestorven.

In April 1943 all Jews in Winterswijk got the message that they should report to Vught concentration camp. Mother and daughter Poppers then had a drapery shop in the Meddosestraat. On the day of departure Betti Poppers has made a picture of herself and her mother. She told the photographer, she would come to get the picture as soon as they had come back.
