Jacob was een zoon van Hijman Oudkerk, geboren 1 juli 1879 te Amsterdam, overleden 22 mei 1944 in Midden Europa en Elisabeth Rokkestikker geboren 15 maart 1881 te Amsterdam en overleden op 6 januari te Amsterdam. Hij had een broer genaamd Meijer.
Zijn grootouders waren Jacob Philip Rokkestikker en Roosje van Gelderen en Meijer Oudkerk en Maria Cohenno.
