De ouders van Ada hebben de oorlog overleefd. Zij zaten ondergedoken bij hun oudste dochter Charlotte, die gemengd gehuwd was. Ada had nog een zuster, Rachel mijn stiefmoeder, zij zat eveneens ondergedoken bij Charlotte. Zij woonden met 5 personen in een heel klein huisje in Amsterdam-noord (Nieuwendam). Na de oorlog is mijn vader Leendert Venetianer hertrouwt met Rachel. Zij werd mijn stiefmoeder…
