De family van Salomon Kan woonde op 21 I in de Danie Theronstraat. Salomon vader, Lea Kan-Kurk moeder, Andries (Andre) zoon, Ester-Ellie dochter, Henriette Eva dochter, zijn allemaal wegehaald door de gestapo. Geruchten waren er dat Mhr. Kan in de zwarte handel zat. De hele familie werd naar Vught gezonden en van daar via Westerbork naar Sobibor gezonden en op 23 Juli zijn zij allemaal vermoord.
