Lodewijk Korijn was a son of Eduard Gerard Korijn, the owner of the 'Disconto en Effectenbank', with offices in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague. Lodewijk Korijn sold this bank in 1930 after which he started his own stockbroker's office called CV 'Lodewijk Korijn' on the Damrak.
