David Godschalk

David Godschalk received, as the inscription in the book indicates, a Haggadah on the occasion of his Bar Mitzvah 'from the staff at the Nassaukade (West) religious school.' The inscription is signed by K. Caneel and R. Klein.

In addition, Jokos files (numbers 12354, 13727) on this family or other family members are at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos files reveal that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 6851/3845).
