This person is commemorated on the monument Schaduwkade in Amsterdam. The names of the 200 jewish inhabitants of the Nieuwe Keizersgracht are placed on the canal wall opposite the houses where they once lived.

Begin jaren tachtig vonden wij in de hal van de Nieuwe Keizersgracht 20, verborgen achter een plankje, een mezoeza. Een schrijnende herinnering.

Sindsdien is de mezoeza zorgvuldig opgeborgen in een kastje. Twintig jaar lang dacht ik:"we moeten die mezoeza terugplaatsen, en een herinnering erbij ophangen, wat het is geweest en waarom de mezoeza verborgen was.
