Salomon Bierman was the 3rd child of Levie Bierman and Sara Italiaander. He was born on 26 March 1899 in Amsterdam and he became a barber by profession. On 1 July 1925 he married in Amsterdam the 25-year old Esther Mok, who was born on 5 September 1899 as a daughter of Samuel Mok and Saartje Polak.
