After a tip-off, two members of the Kolonne Henneicke found eight Jewish people hiding out in the basement of the premises at 61 Amstel in Amsterdam: Gerrit Vandien and his wife Rachel Kokernoot, Abraham Rubens and his wife Elisabeth Aap, Samson Koopman, his wife Alida Hijman and their son Emanuel and Theresia Kroonenburg.
