Marion Kaufmann bezocht na 1941 de Joodse school in de Jan van Eijckstraat in Amsterdam. De familie Kaufmann was rijk: Marion had een eigen telefoon op haar kamer, wat behoorlijk uniek was voor een kind in die tijd.
