Abraham Salomon Eitje

On 31 August 1945 relatives ran an obituary in the Nieuw Israëlietisch Weekblad for A. Salomon Eitje and his wife Marianne Asscher and their son A. Joseph Eitje, for Mathilde Levie-Eitje and for R. Henri Eitje, his wife Elisabeth Kulker and their son Alfred Eitje.

In addition, Jokos files (numbers 3768, 5537) on this family or other family members are at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk. The Jokos files reveal that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 2959/7645).

Wim Driedonks was mijn vader. Hij had zakelijke contacten ook met Joden, zoals de heer Salomon Eitje. Het gehele gezin van de heer Eitje kwam om in het concentratiekamp.
