Life of Lucie

Lucie was born on 7 November 1903 in Berlin.  In 1925, Lucie was living at Schönhauser Allee Nr. 103 and working as a buffet lady.

In 1935, she was working as a cashier (it's not known where).

Lucie is described by Gertrude (Van Tijn) as "a perfect saint of a woman".  Lucie was spared being sent for transportation from Westerbork in November 1942 by Gertrude.  Lucie kept house for Gertrude for a period of 6 months or so in their last known residence in Amsterdam.  Their apartment was raided by two SS Soldiers and Lucie was along with 3005 others transported from Westerbork to Sobibor on…
