The Germans assigned Jacob Gokkes to a train for the transport of the sick and David Gokkes to transport on foot. Since David had weak feet and because his father was extremely weak, he tried to travel together with his father. Jacob is een zoon van David Gokkes (Blokzijn, 20 augustus 1861) en Rachel Rimini (Amsterdam, 26 februari 1864). Hij trouwde juli 1922 met Eva Sajet (Amsterdam, 20-11-1894).

Echtgenote Eva en het kind geboren in 1925 hebben de oorlog overleefd.

In addition, a Jokos file (number 917) on this family is at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for :

- looted jewellery (S-claim, number 8/31)

- valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 4037/4756)

Jacob Gokkes ging met transport XXIV/7 nummer 228 op 4-9-1944 naar kamp Theresienstadt. Ook zijn vrouw Eva Sajet, zoon David en dochter Mina gingen met dat zelfde transport van Westerbork naar Theresienstadt. Dat transport omvatte ± 2085 gedeporteerden.
