In a Red Cross letter, sent by friends of the family to the father-in-law of Esther (Stella) Stoppelman-Delden who stayed in London during the war, it is already mentioned on 26 June 1943 that Esther was deported. In this letter the deportation of her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Louis and Froukje Cohen-Stoppelman is also mentioned.

About Esther Stoppelman-Delden

Esther Delden was married. Together with her husband, brothers and sisters she was deported to Auschwitz. Her husband has survived the war. A few days after the liberation he has written about the deportation in a letter to Miep Gies, a friend of the family. This letter has been preserved.

We have been unable to determine whether one or more members of this family survived the war. While their names do not appear on the lists of survivors, we have not been able to trace them in In Memoriam either. They are therefore labeled as 'surviving' and their names are not listed.
