Herman Duitz

By Royal Decree of 26 February 1814 and at the initiative of King William I, the Nederlandsch Israëlitisch Seminarium [Dutch-Jewish seminary] (NIS) was opened in Amsterdam to provide the Jewish communities with rabbis, teachers and other officials. Herman Duitz, son of Salomon, attended the NIS.

Herman Duitz studeerde van 1930 tot en met 1935 Rechten aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Op 9 juli 1935 behaalde hij met goed gevolg het doctoraalexamen en mocht zich Mr. noemen.
