About Levie Canes

Levie Canes (known as Louis) was unmarried. He was a window dresser. As a member of the Comité voor Vrij Nederland [committee for a free Netherlands], he was involved in espionage. A Gestapo agent tricked him, and he was arrested in Haarlem on 14 November 1942. Levie Canes was transferred to Utrecht via the prison at Scheveningen.
