David Polak was married to Wilhelmina Frankenhuis. The couple had two married children, a son called Lion and a child that survived the war. David Polak and his wife lived in the Dorpsstraat in Bathmen, where they had a shop selling furniture, soft goods and fancy articles. David Polak sat on the board of a local music association.
