Gezin Hertz had 3 kinderen: Hella en de tweeling Polly en Dolly. Dolly werd dus vermoord in Auschwitz. Alle andere gezinsleden overleefden de oorlog.

Dolly Hertz was de dochter van Alexander Leopold Hertz en Johanna Sophia Hertz-Snoek. Zij en haar tweelingzuster Polly werden in Amsterdam geboren op 17 april 1925. Dolly Hertz uit Den Haag zat ondergedoken in Almen (Gld.) met nog vijf of 6 andere onderduikers. In okt 1942 zijn zij verraden en weggevoerd. Dolly H. is na een verblijf vanaf 23 oktober in het Huis van Bewaring in Arnhem op 28 oktober naar Westerbork gevoerd en vandaar op 30 oktober naar Auschwitz. Ze is daar vermoord op 2 november 1942.
