David Coenraad Gomperts

David Coenraad Gomperts (also spelled Gompertz) studied medicine in Paramaribo (Suriname). He sat for his medical finals in 1889. In 1914 he settled as a retired physician in the Netherlands at 248 Groot Hertoginnelaan in The Hague. He was the director of the Cultuurmaatschappij [tropical agricultural production company]. David Coenraad Gomperts was arts en eigenaar van de plantage Ma Retraite. Hij was districtsgeneesheer in de gebieden Boven-Para en Saramacca.
