Sientje Bernard is geboren in 1885 in Groningen. Ze trouwde met de leraar Samuel de Lange. Voor haar huwelijk was ze onderwijzeres in Martenshoek. Het echtpaar, dat in Hoogezand woonde, werd in 1943 in Sobibor om het leven gebracht.

Samuel de Lange and his family

The family De Lange had three children, of which two resided elsewhere. Two children survived the war in hiding. One child returned from Bergen-Belsen.
