De familie Rood bestond uit Betje, geb. 04.10.1893, Debora, geb. 26.05.1895, en Louis, geb. 16.06.1883. Zij werden alle drie geboren in Middelharnis en woonden in een woon-winkelpand aan het Zandpad B274 (nu nr. 56) in Middelharnis.
Betje en Debora zetten daar de hoeden- en pettenwinkel voort die hun ouders daarvoor al voerden, maar voegden herenkleding aan het assortiment toe. Louis was veehandel…
