Jacob de Lange

In Raalte there were three men with the name 'Jacob de Lange' in the small Jewish community. Because of that reason Jacob de Lange living in the Marktstraat called himself 'Jaap'.

Jacob de Lange was married to Elisabeth de Lange. The couple had two sons, David Mozes and Mozes David. The family lived along the Achterweg in Raalte. In August 1942 Jacob de Lange was interned at the Jewish labour camp Wittebrink near Hummelo. On 2 October 1942 he was transferred to Camp Westerbork via Arnhem.
