Samuel Polak was a son of Barend Polak and Elisabeth Prijs. His father died in Rotterdam a few months before the outbroke of the war in 1940. His mother had died already in 1926. Samuel Polak was a shop assistant and lived in in the family of his brother Levie at Statenweg 111 a in Rotterdam. He was unmarried.
