The Arnhem police commissioner requested that Adèle Catharina Hijman-Andriesse, residing in Arnhem, be located, detained and brought to trial. She had left her place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

Simon Hijman and his family

Simon Hijman and his wife Adèle Catharina Andriesse had two children, both survived the war. During the occupation Simon Hijman went into hiding. On 1 August 1944 he was arrested and brought to Westerbork. Simon Hijman and Adèle Catharina Andriesse were deported with the last train leaving Westerbork, on 3 September 1944.
