Donald de Leeuw

Donald de Leeuw, a butcher by trade, served as a witness at the wedding of his brother Alfred de Leeuw to Sophia Noach. The wedding was performed at Westerbork transit camp on 3 May 1943. Donald de Leeuw signed the marriage certificate.

Adelheid Roozendaal was the widow of Julius de Leeuw (1883-1934). She was born in Emden, Germany. In 1907, she married Julius in Lochem. After the wedding, the couple lived in the town of Hengelo. Adelheid had three children. Like their father, her sons were butchers.
