About Eliazar van Embden

Eliazer van Embden had a business in textile. Before the war he moved to Antwerpen where he had a warehouse and a shop. Once a year he travelled to South Africa where he also owned a warehouse. The sale of clothing to South African farmers showed up to be very lucrative. When the war broke out Eliazer van Embden went back to Antwerpen.

Eliazar van Embden got divorced from his first wife in 1915. The couple had one child. On January 12, 1916 he got married to Sara Slier, who was a daughter of Jacob Slier and Flora Blazer. In 1927, the couple moved to Antwerp. Several years later they returned to Rotterdam, where they settled at the Nieuwe Markt.
