Betje Leeraar was a daughter of Lion Leeraar and Rosetta Katz. She was unmarried. Her father passed in Dieren 30 July 1938 and her mothter there 2 May 1939. Betje Leeraar had gone into hiding but it is presumable that by treason, she was arrested. Betje was not registered in Camp Westerbork and it is likely that immediately after her arrest she was 25 Januiary 1944 deported to Auschwitz. This transport arrived there on 27 January. Betje Leeraar was killed in Auschwitz 28 January 1944.
