Michiel Asser Benjamin Jacob was getrouwd met Helene Croner uit Hamburg.

Zij kwam in 1939 als Palestinapionier naar Deventer.

Haar ouders waren Walter Croner en Jenny Meyer.

Walter Croner is op 29 augustus 1934 overleden en Jenny Meyer is 25 oktober 1941 naar Lodz gedeporteerd en op 10 mei 1942 omgekomen in Chelmno (Kulmhof).

Alex Jacob werd op 23 oktober 1942 vanuit Westerbork gedeporteerd. Zijn naam staat niet op de transportlijst. We weten echter uit de getuigenis van zijn oom Bram Aussen dat hij wel in deze trein zat.
