Ernst Adam

Ernst Adam was a son of Heinrich Adam and Therese Cohn. He married 18 February 1931 Rosa Karafiol in Wuppertal (Germany), a daughter of Jozef Karafiol and Minka Tenenbaum. Ernst Adam was getrouwd en had een kind. Zowel zijn vrouw als zijn dochter hebben de oorlog overleefd.

De toevoeging 'adres niet bekend' is niet correct. Volgens bovenstaand citaat uit het Algemeen Politieblad woonde Ernst in de Achillesstraat 218 te Amsterdam. Kan dit adres worden toegevoegd?

Ernst Adam was married to Rosa Karafiol (born 1908 in Warsaw) in 1931 in Wupperthal, Germany. Their daughter Felicitas Adams was born in 1932 in Wupperthal. The family moved at some point thereafter to Diemen, NL, then in June 1936 to Amsterdam. Ernst and Rosa were divorced in 1942. The police commissioner of the documentation service in The Hague requested on behalf of the Sicherheitsdienst that Ernst Adam be located, detained and brought to trial. He lived in Amsterdam at 218 Achillesstraat. He was suspected of having changed his place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

Ernst Adam kwam op 2 oktober 1942 in kamp Westerbork aan. Daar heeft hij enige tijd gediend bij de Joodse Ordedienst. Zie verder het boek: 'De bewakers van Westerbork'. 

Siegmund leerde in Amsterdam de sinds juli 1942 officieel gescheiden Rosa Karafiol kennen. Sinds oktober 1940 woonde hij op hetzelfde adres aan de Parnassusweg 30 II te Amsterdam. Ze waren reeds in ondertrouw gegaan. Op 6 juni 1943 werd hun dochter Susanna geboren. Susanna nam, nadat haar moeder in 1950 hertrouwde, de naam van haar stiefvader aan en heette sindsdien Walzer.

Felicitas Adam, de dochter van Ernst Adam, was vanaf 25 augustus 1937 leerling van de 1e Montessorischool in de Corellistraat 1 Amsterdam.
Haar roepnaam op school was Feli (absentielijst) en zij werd net als alle andere joodse leerlingen van school verwijderd op 19 september 1941 en bezocht daarna een joodse school.

Over haar onderduiktijd schreef zij een boekje met als titel "My name was Fientje".…
