Hendrika van Gelder, called Henny, was a daughter of Arnold van Gelder and Sara van Geldere. She married 19 November 1941 in Amsterdam to Louis Eliza Maas. He survived the war.

Hendrika had two other brothers and two sisters. Her parents and her eldest sister have survived the Holocaust. The others, Martin Arnold, Jacob Henri and Elly have been killed in the Shoah.

Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 3784/1719).

Sara van Gelder-van Geldere was the mother of Jacob Henri van Gelder, Betsy Estella van Gelder (Brieko), Elly van Gelder, Martin Arnold van Gelder en Hendrika Maas-van Gelder. They lived Roerstraat 115-I Amsterdam. She was married to Arnold van Gelder and survived the Holocaust by hiding in Friesland, together with her husband. Henny is op 30 juli 1943 door de SD in Rijswijk gearresteerd vanuit het huis waar zij verbleef. Zij is van daaruit naar het Oranjehotel (gevangenis) in Scheveningen gebracht. Hoelang zij daar is geweest, is (nog) niet bekend, ik ben ermee bezig in het archief aldaar. Nicht Marion Brieko
