About Joachim Davidsohn

On 15 August 1941 the Joodsche Weekblad published three obituaries for Joachim Davidsohn. The first was submitted by his parents, sister, brother-in-law and fiancée. The second was submitted by his in-laws. The third was submitted by his partner S. Meijer at the firm Meijer & Davidsohn. The obituary does not mention that Joachim Davidsohn was killed in Mauthausen. He was 24 when he died.

Margarete (Grethe) en haar man Siegbert kwamen uit Berlijn naar Amsterdam toen het in Duitsland te gevaarlijk werd voor Joden. Haar zuster, Ellen Kohn, die al voor de oorlog was getrouwd met de Nederlandse, niet-joodse HTH Wijdeveld, woonde in de Vossiusstraat in Amsterdam.
