Elisabeth Sara Enthoven was a daughter of Karel Enthoven and of Sara Joël Salomons. On 13 June 1899 she married in Amsterdam at age 35, the merchant Emanuel Leonard Schaap from Amersfoort, aged 43, a son of Levie Abraham Schaap and Grietje Kalker.
