Kurt, Herbert, Walter and their sister came to the Netherlands on December 16th, 1938. They stayed in the Rivierenhuis in de Steeg, and at several addresses in The Hague, amongst others with the Wieselthier couple. From May 1940 they lived with families in The Hague, and Herbert went to the orphanage in that city in November 1942, because his foster parents were deported.
