Agathe Bock is geboren op 14 februari 1920 in Hövel, een klein dorpje in Duitsland. Samen met haar ouders Leo en Mathilde Bock, ontvlucht Agathe Duitsland op 6 november 1933.

Het gezin vestigt zich in Oeffelt, een dorpje aan de grens met Duitsland. Hier starten de ouders van Agathe een manufacturenwinkel. Agathe helpt haar moeder in de winkel.

In 1940 verhuist Agathe naar de Willem de Zwijgerstraa…
